Walt Freese

Walt Freese has the distinction of having led three iconic, values-led businesses: Ben & Jerry’s and Stonyfield Farm, where he served as CEO and Celestial Seasonings, where he served as President. Walt is best known for demonstrating that values-led businesses can outgrow and be more profitable than conventional business models, while making significant contributions to both social and economic justice and environmental sustainability. Earlier in his career, Walt held executive roles with Unilever, Nestle and Kraft. He has also served as a private equity Operating Partner, where he identified and conducted due diligence of potential acquisition targets, while also supporting the integration, growth and development of those acquisitions. Walt holds his BA from Colgate University and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.
